A quiet price watch. You point it at a thing you might buy. It watches that item, rechecks on a schedule, and pings you once when the price or listing moves in a way you said matters. Then it is quiet again.

Not really. Those watch a URL or a partner store and notify you when a number ticks. Nab Price watches the object, uses your own target, ignores fake "was" prices, and stays silent by default. It has no coupons, no deals homepage, no points, and no feed.

No. Never. It has no card, no cart, and no checkout. When the move is real you get a ping, and you reply BUY, SKIP, or HOLD. The reply is a note to the watch, not an order. Everything Nab Price tells you is advice. The decision and the purchase are yours.

Because the point is to nab the price when it moves. Not to browse. Not to collect. If you searched for a bank with the same initials, this is not that.

Yes. nabtheprice.com is an alias that redirects to nabprice.com. Same product, one site.

A photo of the item, its box, or a shelf tag. A typed name. Or a link to a store's product page. A link is the most exact, because that is the page it will recheck. With a link you also see the current price before you arm anything.

The photo is read once to guess the name, brand, model, and barcode if one is visible. You confirm or fix the guess. If the photo is unclear, you can just type the name instead. Photos are optional.

One target per item. You can change it any time.

On a schedule, in the background. Exact intervals depend on your plan and are marked [TBD] on the pricing page until we settle them. You will never see the checks. You only hear from it when your line is crossed.

The watch stays on. It is attached to the item, not the URL. If the page you gave it stops loading, the watch backs off, keeps trying less often, and shows as quiet in your list with the reason. You can give it a new link any time.

Not today. Version one rechecks only the page you gave it. It does not crawl the open web. Cross-store watching is something we want, and it is why item identity is built the way it is, but we are not promising a date.

Two tests. Your line was crossed, and the move is genuine. Genuine means it is measured against the prices Nab Price has seen itself, not the store's crossed-out "was" price; the listing is still the same product; and the change is bigger than a wobble. A change under about 1% or under a dollar is noise and does not ping.

Only if $329 is actually below your line and below what Nab Price has been seeing. The "was" number is ignored on purpose. A store that sits inflated for weeks and then returns to normal has not had a sale, and a "down 15%" target will not fire on it.

It is designed not to. Stores sometimes put a different product in the same catalogue slot. Before pinging, Nab Price checks the listing fingerprint: a real product code like a UPC or a model number is decisive, and a store's own slot id has to be backed up by the title. If the identifiers disagree, it refuses to ping.

One per watch when the move is real, then quiet. It will not repeat the same news. If the price keeps moving, you hear from it again only after a cool-down of most of a day, not every hour. Three watches should mean a few pings over a week, not a feed.

Email or push first. Text is planned. You choose when you sign up and can change it later.

• BUY — you got it. The watch closes and is marked nabbed.
• SKIP — not interested any more. The watch is dropped.
• HOLD — not yet. The watch stays on.

None of them place an order.

Your email, your password (hashed, never in plain text), the items you watch, the links and targets you set, the price readings from each check, the pings we sent, and how you replied. That is what the product needs to work. Details are in the privacy draft.

A photo is sent to an AI vision service once to identify the item. How long the photo itself is kept after that is [TBD] and will be stated in the privacy policy before launch. If you would rather not upload a photo, type the name.

No. We do not sell your data, and we do not show ads. Nab Price is not an affiliate deals site. If that ever changed, we would tell you first and you could leave with your data deleted.

Yes. In the app, open "How to ping me" and choose "Delete my account". You confirm with your password, and every watch, reading, and ping goes with the account. It cannot be undone. You can download a copy of your data from the same place first. How long a deletion takes to clear from backups is [TBD].

There will be a free tier and two paid tiers, Plus and Pro. The prices and the watch caps are [TBD]. The pricing page shows what each tier includes; we will fill the numbers in before launch, not invent them now.

Right now, through the waiting list. We are letting people in a few at a time so the checks stay reliable. Founding members from the waiting list get [TBD] when paid tiers open.

Yes, an email and a password. A watch has to belong to someone so the pings go to the right place.

Most stores with a normal product page. Nab Price reads the page's structured data first, then its page tags, and only then falls back to reading the visible price. If it cannot read a price with confidence, it shows the reading as unverified and does not act on it. Unknown beats wrong.

Honest answer: a watch on that store can go quiet. Some stores refuse checks from anything that is not a person in a browser. When that happens the watch backs off, keeps trying less often, and is marked quiet in your list with the reason. We will not fake a reading to fill the gap. If a store is consistently blocked we will say so here.

You can snap the shelf tag to identify the item, but rechecks need a web page. If the store has the same item online, watch that. If it does not, the watch cannot recheck and will say so.

No system that reads store pages is always right. Prices can vary by region, account, or time of day, and a store can change its page between our check and your click. Treat a ping as "worth a look", not a guarantee. Nab Price is advice only.
