Draft
Terms
The deal between you and us, in plain words.
This is a draft. It has not been reviewed by a lawyer and is not yet in force. Items marked [TBD] are not decided. It will be finished before Nab Price opens to the public or takes any payment.
Last updated: 2026-09-06 (draft)
Who
Nab Price is provided by [TBD legal name], [TBD address] ("we"). By joining the waiting list or creating an account you ("you") agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
What Nab Price is
Nab Price watches items you choose, rechecks store pages on a schedule, and sends you a ping when it believes the price or listing has moved in the way you asked. You reply BUY, SKIP, or HOLD to tell it what you did.
What Nab Price is not
- It is advice only. A ping means "worth a look". It is not a promise that the price is right, that the item is in stock, or that the store will honour it.
- It never buys anything. Nab Price has no access to your payment details, no cart, and no checkout. Replying BUY records your decision; it does not place an order. Every purchase is between you and the store.
- It is not a store, a marketplace, a coupon service, a deals feed, or a points program. We are not paid by stores for your purchases.
- It is not financial advice. "Nab" refers to grabbing a price, not to any bank or investment.
Prices can be wrong
We read prices from store pages. Pages change, prices vary by region or account, and stores sometimes show things we cannot read correctly. We try hard to be right, we show a reading as unverified when we are not confident, and we ignore a store's crossed-out "was" price on purpose. Even so, a ping can be wrong. Check the store before you buy.
Watches can go quiet
Some stores block automated checks. Some pages go away. When that happens a watch may stop getting readings. We show the watch as quiet and say why; we do not invent readings. We do not guarantee that any particular store will keep working, or that a watch will catch every move.
Your account
- You need a real email address and a password you keep to yourself. You are responsible for what happens under your account.
- You must be at least 13 (or the age your country sets) to have an account.
- During the waiting-list period, sign-up may require an invite code. An invite is for you; do not post it publicly.
- One person per account. You may not resell or share access.
Acceptable use
Use Nab Price to watch things you might actually buy, sell, or research. Do not:
- Use it to hammer a store, scrape a catalogue, or build a competing price feed.
- Point it at pages you are not allowed to access, or at anything that is not a product listing.
- Upload photos of people or of anything you do not have the right to share.
- Try to break in, overload the service, or get around the caps on your tier.
We may pause or close an account that breaks these rules. We will say why.
Plans and payment
There is a free tier and there will be paid tiers. Prices, caps, and billing terms are [TBD] and will be shown on the pricing page before anyone is charged. Refund terms: [TBD]. You can cancel a paid plan at any time; cancellation stops future charges and your account drops to the free tier at the end of the period you paid for (exact handling [TBD]).
Your data
How we handle your data is in the privacy policy. The short version: we collect what the product needs, we do not sell it, and you can delete it.
Our stuff and your stuff
The Nab Price name, site, app, and code are ours. The watches you create, the names you type, and the photos you upload are yours; you give us permission to process them to run the service, and nothing more.
Changes to the service
Nab Price is new. Features will change, some will be added, and some may be removed. If we remove something you rely on, we will try to say so ahead of time. If we ever shut the service down, we will give notice and let you export your watches first (format [TBD]).
Limits on our liability
Plainly: we do our best, but Nab Price is provided "as is". We are not responsible for a purchase you make or do not make, a price that turned out to be wrong, a move we missed, a ping that arrived late, or a store that blocked us. To the extent the law allows, our total liability to you is limited to what you paid us in the [TBD] before the problem. Nothing here removes rights the law gives you that cannot be waived.
Ending things
You can close your account at any time. We can close an account that breaks these terms, or if we shut the service down. Closing an account deletes your data as described in the privacy policy.
Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the law of [TBD jurisdiction]. If we have a disagreement, talk to us first at [TBD contact email]; most things can be sorted out that way. Formal dispute terms: [TBD].
Changes to these terms
If these terms change in a way that matters, we will say so at the top of this page and, for account holders, by email. Continuing to use Nab Price after the change means you accept it.
